The first step

We start with the artwork you send us.

You don’t need to prepare an embroidery file yourself, and you don’t need to know anything about how embroidery works. We take the best source artwork you have and review how that design will behave once it is stitched, then prepare a clean, practical basis for embroidery that still respects the brand you already use.

Assessed by the people who will stitch it.

Artwork preparation isn’t outsourced or sent offshore — it happens in the same Australian facility that stitches your garments. That is why we can tell you what will and won’t hold in thread before anything is set up, rather than after.

01

You send

Your logo artwork, in whichever format you have available.

02

We review

How the design will translate into embroidery at the size and on the garment you need.

03

We prepare

The artwork and setup required for it to stitch cleanly.

04

You approve

The proposed embroidery setup, before anything goes into production.

Artwork review

We check the details that affect the finished embroidery.

Embroidery builds your logo physically, out of thread, so we review the artwork with the stitched result in mind rather than the screen version. What we look at:

Logo proportions and overall shape

Lettering and taglines

Line thickness

Small gaps and negative space

Fine detail

Gradients, shadows and effects

Colour references, where you have them

The embroidery size you need

The garment or fabric it is going on

Most logos can be adapted successfully for embroidery. If something needs attention, we explain it before proceeding.

From screen to thread

Prepared for embroidery, without losing the brand.

Take a professionally designed healthcare identity — a clean wordmark, a fine rule, a small tagline and a subtle gradient through the symbol. On a website, letterhead or window decal, those details may work perfectly.

At the intended chest-logo size, the tagline may become too small to reproduce clearly in thread, the fine rule may lose definition, and the gradient has no direct equivalent because embroidery thread uses physical colours. Where required, the embroidery treatment might enlarge or simplify the tagline, strengthen the fine rule and interpret the gradient using an appropriate solid thread colour.

The objective is not to redesign the logo. It is to preserve the recognisable identity while adapting only the details needed for a clean embroidered result. Any recommended adjustment is explained before proceeding.

Brand integrity

We don’t change your logo without approval.

Artwork preparation is about making your existing identity work successfully in embroidery — not redesigning your brand. If we recommend an adjustment, we explain what needs changing, why it is required and how the embroidered version will differ before anything proceeds.

Have brand guidelines, Pantone references, approved logo variants or existing embroidery specifications? Send them with your artwork.

Two different steps

Artwork preparation comes before the stitch file.

First

Artwork setup

Reviewing and preparing your visual artwork so the logo can translate successfully into embroidery.

Then

Digitising

Converting the approved embroidery interpretation into the stitch-based machine file the equipment reads.

That file sets stitch type, direction, density and the sequence everything is sewn in.

A different garment type, embroidery size or placement can sometimes require the setup to be adjusted, so we’ll tell you where that applies.

Approval

Nothing moves forward until the embroidery setup is approved.

Before production proceeds you’ll understand the proposed embroidery setup, including anything we have recommended changing and why. Nothing goes into production until the embroidery setup has been approved.

Artwork setup FAQs

No. You send the best version of your logo you have and we take it from there. Creating the embroidery file is our job, not yours.

We review how the artwork will translate into thread at the size and on the garment you need, prepare what the embroidery requires, and come back to you with the proposed setup for approval.

Send it anyway. Low-resolution artwork can still be assessed and may be usable as a starting point. If it isn’t suitable as supplied, we’ll tell you what we need rather than leaving you guessing.

Not without your approval. Where a detail won’t stitch cleanly we explain what we’d adjust and why, and you decide before anything proceeds.

We assess it against the embroidery size you need. Small text and hairline detail can close up in thread, so we’ll propose a treatment that keeps the mark legible and recognisable.

No. Artwork setup prepares your visual artwork so it can work in embroidery. Digitising converts the approved result into the stitch file the machine reads.

Yes. Nothing goes into production until the embroidery setup has been approved.
