Uniform Programs

Uniform programs for healthcare organisations

Most healthcare organisations have a uniform supplier. Far fewer have a uniform program — and the difference only shows up after the first order.

What a uniform program is

A supplier arrangement is not a program

Most healthcare organisations already have a uniform supplier. Far fewer have a uniform program — a defined range, a saved branding standard, rules about who orders what, and a single record of what has been ordered across the organisation.

A supplier answers the question you asked. A program answers the ones you have not asked yet — who orders the replacement, what a new starter receives, which version of the logo the third site is using. Those questions arrive whether or not anyone has decided the answers.

What we take on

The administration, not the decisions

A managed program should never mean handing over control of how your organisation looks. The rules stay yours; the continuing work of applying them becomes ours.

Preparing and holding your embroidery setup

Applying branding to one saved standard

Processing staff orders and reorders

Assembling new starter packs

Delivering to each of your sites

Keeping one order record across the organisation

Branding

Embroidered in our own Australian facility

Branding is where uniform programs most often come apart — a logo applied slightly differently on a later order, a replacement garment that doesn’t match, a new site introducing its own version.

Your artwork is prepared once and the embroidery setup is saved against your program. Nothing is sent offshore, which is why a garment ordered next year is decorated to the same standard as one ordered today.

Who it suits

A program is not only for large groups

The number of rules changes with size. The value of having them written down does not.

Single practices

One approved range and a saved branding standard, so ordering is settled once.

Growing groups

A structure that holds as sites and staff numbers increase.

Multi-site organisations

A shared standard with per-site ranges, roles and approvers.

Organisations rebranding

A coordinated changeover rather than a gradual drift.

Getting started

How a program is set up

The first conversation is about what your team wears now and what is not working. Everything after that is a matter of writing the answers down in one place.

01

Review

What your team wears today, and where it is inconsistent.

02

Define

The approved range, by role and by site.

03

Set the rules

Branding, access, approvals, allowances and starter packs.

04

Run it

Staff order, we handle the work, you keep visibility.

Rolling out a consistent uniform program across four practices used to involve dozens of emails, sizing issues and constant reorders. Med Uniforms helped us standardise everything, and the staff ordering portal has reduced the administration far more than we expected.

Common questions

Uniform programs — frequently asked questions

No. A program is assembled from the pieces your organisation actually needs. Most start with an approved range and a saved branding standard, then add staff ordering, allowances or starter packs as they become useful.

A supplier sells you garments. A program holds the range, the branding standard and the ordering rules, and keeps one record across your organisation, so the arrangement survives staff changes and new sites.

No. The number of rules changes with size; the value of writing them down does not. A single practice benefits from settling the range and branding once, just as a group does across sites.

The opposite. You decide the range, who can order what, the approval rules and the branding standard. We take on the continuing work of applying those decisions.

No. The staff ordering portal is how most organisations run day-to-day ordering and is included with your account, but a program can be managed without it.

Yes. Ranges can differ by location, by role or both, while the branding standard stays identical across all of them.

That is your decision. Existing garments can stay in service and be replaced as they wear out, or retired at an agreed point if the range is changing.

In our own Australian facility. Your artwork is prepared once and the setup is saved against your program, which is what keeps a garment ordered next year matching one ordered today.
